			<description><![CDATA[ management business in Manchester to recruit a Business Development Manager / Bid Manager to manage business development projects within the Public and Utility sectors&lt;br /&gt;As the Business Development Manager / Bid Manager within the Public &amp;amp; Utility Business Development Department you will:&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;- Manage the end to end process of achieving new business wins with typical TCV of ?10m - ?100m&lt;br /&gt;- Manage a team of multiple disciplines / functions typically around 10 staff&lt;br /&gt;- Manage specialist resources from within / outside of the business&lt;br /&gt;- Manage a number of complex issues within tight and unpredictable time frames. &lt;br /&gt;- Operate in a loosely defined business environment, which requires a flexible and creative approach. &lt;br /&gt;- Work with and lead debate with senior managers across the business &lt;br /&gt;- Ensure all projects are delivered on time, to quality and budget. &lt;br /&gt;- Responsible for the provision of a successful client focused, commercially viable solution. &lt;br /&gt;- Own the project plan and key deliverables&lt;br /&gt;- Responsible for leadership, resourcing and management of multi disciplined work streams through to project completion&lt;br /&gt;- Manage internal and external suppliers&lt;br /&gt;- Work to predict forthcoming bids&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Note: This role will require frequent travel within the UK&lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;To be considered for this role you must be &lt;br /&gt;- Degree Level or equivalent experience of bid management &lt;br /&gt;- Full understanding of OJEU procurement process governing Public and Utility outsourcing&lt;br /&gt;- Considerable experience of bid management ideally in a Public or Utility environment&lt;br /&gt;- Track record of securing multi million pound contracts&lt;br /&gt;- Good working knowledge of the Public &amp;amp; / or Utility Sector&lt;br /&gt;- Cost modelling&lt;br /&gt;- Financial acumen&lt;br /&gt;- Commercial Acumen&lt;br /&gt;- Negotiation skills&lt;br /&gt;- Ability to interpret and understand data&lt;br /&gt;- Excellent communication, presentation, inter-personal skills. &lt;br /&gt;- Logical approach to problem solving. &lt;br /&gt;- A broad understanding and appreciation for other functions/operations within a service business&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Experience of managing 3rd party suppliers and fostering a good working relationship.
