The role has responsibility for quality service delivery, in a cost efficient and risk mitigated environment, for all banking business in the UK Offshore markets (Jersey, Guernsey &amp; IoM). ? Strategy o Develop a Banking Operations strategy to become the Top Quality Provider/ reference in the UK Offshore markets ? Client Service o Ensure high service quality delivery to our clients at the appropriate level of cost in a secure environment. o Syndicate towards economy of scale &amp; capacity o Work towards exception-based flows o Participate in establishing SLAs o Sponsor and manage excellence of operational service delivery in accordance with SLA? Risks Management &amp; Mitigation o Follow our Ops risk in a permanent manner (KPIs/ BAU follow-up) in order to act in the safest environment. o Perform regular reviews with local and central Ops Risk Dept o Ensure all the procedures are in place to follow Risk Dept requests both at the client level and the process level o Participate in the product approval process, giving green light to start only if all the procedures are in place to minimize risks. ? Financials &amp; Productivity o Focus on permanent reengineering mission to continue to decrease unit cost in a secure environment ? Optimization of processes and services ? Adaptation to regulations and market developments ? Operational risk management ? Create, push and sponsor initiatives to reach this goal (e. g. ACE programme, reengineering with or without IT implications, optimization Hub / local) o Manage headcount and costs in line with agreed departmental budgets o Negotiate, anticipate and monitor charge backs from the hubs o Actively participate in unit cost analysis (local and global) o Help maximizing client profitability o Build budget according to UK Offshore objectives and global Banking Operations targets as well as groups global objectives o Thorough follow-up of this budget realization? Business development o Promote group effectively and support market position (consistent with business vision and values) o Ensure proactive suggestions into Marketing plan o Contribute to presentation/ translation of developments to clients and identify impact on clients operations o Efficiently manage projects implementation, in perfect coordination with IT, Product and Coverage teams: ? New services ? System implementation ? Market place and regulatory changes ? Productivity o Contribute effectively across the business, particularly as part of UK Offshore Comex Team. o Develop and maintain high external profile throughout the industry, being regarded as acknowledged expert and an ambassador for Banking Group Essential Requirements  Knowledge of the Securities Services industry  Degree Level: Mathematics, Economics, Business related degree preferable.  Experienced in complex business/ corporate/ institutional organisation, with strong proven track record in operations and controls.  Strong people leader/motivator  Ability to build long term relationships, including with 3rd party sales influencers Good communicator. Salary offered for this role will be based on qualification and experience and is circa 80,000 Sterling. Jersey is a low tax jurisdiction. 			<description><![CDATA[ IRO £30k Main Job Purpose : The Client Documentation function is a critical component of the Securities Services business model, being first point of contact in regard to transitioning in new business for our all clients which may include high net worth and Institutional investors, Corporate Trust and Fund Accounting clients. The postholder gives priority to customer satisfaction and providing a world class service. They are committed to ensuring that performance and delivery is achieved in line with the team KRAs and SLAs. They are responsible for ensuring all KYC and Due Diligence requirements are adhered to in line with local regulators and Group standards. Key Responsibilities : The Client Documentation Officer has responsibility for opening, closing and maintaining accounts in accordance with SLAs and the Clients Risk processes.  Liaise with Coverage teams to provide client with an excellent first experience in the new business take-on process.  Obtaining and validating documents in respect of new accounts.  Co-ordinate closure process and monitor, keep Coverage informed in regard to exiting business for their income streams.  Record, track and resolve queries in relation to account maintenance. (Investilink)  On receipt of valid instructions, amend any standing data requirements.  Review payment reports to ensure no high-risk implications.  Review Worldcheck as we have an obligation to hold information and verify documentation on all individuals who can act on the account.  Continuous improvement in regard to day to day processes.  Ensure that legislation and regulatory obligations are adhered to in line with the BNP wider policies.  Other projects and tasks that may be deemed necessary. Technical Skills :  The ability to demonstrate a good understanding of the compliance and regulatory regime within which BNP Paribas operates  Computer literacy across a variety of common applications i. e. Excel, Word  Dealing with clients via e-mail and telephone  Understanding the account opening process and dependencies in respect of systems throughout BNP Paribas Securities Services Qualifications &amp; Industry Experience :  1-2 years experience working in Due Diligence  AML training  Comprehension of local regulatory standards  Qualified or studying towards Introduction to Compliance  Personal Style :  Good organisation skills  Be innovative and use initiative  Conscientious  Self motivated  Ability to manage workloads and adhere to tight deadlines  Attention to detail  A team player  Ability to work under pressure  Flexibility in overtime work  Ability to liaise with individuals at all levels  A calm demeanor  Solid self management skills.
