Right now, we're looking for a volunteer Oxjam Regional Manager for Hampshire, Dorset and Isle of Wight, to recruit and lead a core volunteer team and help take Oxjam to the next level across region. We are looking for a candidate who is excited by a challenge, has a passion for making a difference, and enjoys taking an independent, pro-active approach to their work. You will have a contagious sort of enthusiasm for music, events and making an impact poverty and suffering. Your natural way with people will be an asset in this role, alongside the leadership and organisation skills to keep momentum going. You will also have a flair for getting results and the ability to keep team objectives firmly in mind whilst having a lot of fun on the way to success. In this role, you and your team will bring people together to fight poverty with music. The emphasis will be on recruiting event organisers, as well as supporting them to raise as much money and have as much fun as possible. You'll hold weekly meetings with your team and build contacts in your community to help achieve this and make Oxjam a great success. You'll also join a national team of other Oxjam Regional Managers and there'll be national training and review events to attend. This role is a challenging one. But you'll meet some amazing people and make such a big difference to lives across the world. Training in Basic Skills, focusing on Literacy and Numeracy, is an essential area of SHAREs work. This post is to deliver Basic Skills in Numeracy and Literacy  leading to OCNLR accreditation. The Basic Skills Tutor will work closely with the Learning and Guidance Co-ordinator. The role is part-time, 21 hours per week: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Please note, that we do not currently offer a term time schedule and our services are offered all year round. This means our teaching posts are all year round giving the added benefit of being able to take your 30 days (6 weeks) holiday pro rata at a time convenient to you! Main responsibilities 1. To teach Basic Skills to adults, most of whom have learning difficulties and some of whom also have a range of physical disabilities or mental health problems. 2. To assess the Basic Skills needs of each student joining SHARE and agree an individual learning programme with the student to include RARPA (soft skills). 3. To prepare and develop training aids and resources suitable to the students attending SHARE for delivery of Basic Skills focusing on the ability to differentiate teaching and learning resources for mixed ability groups. 4. To assess the students Basic Skills progress in line with the criteria set out by the awarding body. 5. To ensure students portfolios are maintained and that units that the student is working towards are recorded and reviewed. To ensure portfolios are ready for moderation. 6. To prepare and complete all necessary reports, attendance and qualification tracking, and other paperwork, and ensure that all monitoring procedures are complied with and submitted to the Learning and Guidance Coordinator in accordance with set time-scales. 7. To support the preparation of assessment materials and to update and add to the training resources based on the criteria set by the L&amp;G coordinator. 8. To report as required to Internal and External Verifiers / moderators. 9. To keep updated about any changes to Basic Skills provision in accordance with curriculum requirements as introduced by the awarding body. 10. To work within a framework that values diversity and the individual qualities of each student. 11. When required, to provide back-up support to other SHARE projects as directed by the organisation. 12.
