Control, administration and reporting of each subcontract/supply on the project, to ensure that the subcontract/supply is properly formulated, controlled and closed out. To agree and submit Monthly Applications for Payment to the Engineer/Employer. QUALIFICATIONS:At least 5 years of experience in dealing with issues described above Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering Conversant with Standard Methods of Measurement (SMM 7, CESSEM 3, POMI etc) Conversant with FIDIC Contract Conditions Computer literate with emphasis in spreadsheets and word processing. Estimating and pricing experience will be consider as an advantage. Experience in Large infrastructure projects will be consider as an advantage. COMPENSATION PACKAGE:Annual salary: USD $120. 000 (tax free) plus 10% allowance on annual remuneration Free accommodation: including electricity and water bills (not personal telephone bills) Free food at company's canteen (only to employees on single status) Free Medical facilities Free car (including insurance, maintenance and fuel costs) 36 calendar days annual leave per annum. A reasonable knowledge of computer aided planning and delay analysis would be needed. On the present contract the individual will be responsible fro performing these functions in relation to the main contract (contractor and employer) and in defending against contractual issues raised by sub-contractors who are executing most of the actual construction. The project is valued at some $400million and is located in what is normally considered as a hardship location. There is a possibility that a wife could accompany the candidate but she would be living in Al Kobar where the regional head office is, while the candidate will spend at least 4 days a week on site in bachelor accommodation. In Saudi there are restrictions on the freedom of women  they cannot drive and cannot work, for example. The Contract Manager reports to the Project Director and is responsible for the fulfilment of the contractors contractual obligations with the employer and to ensure that the contractors rights under the contract are upheld. The Contract Manager is responsible for the drafting all contractual letters on behalf of the contractor, approval of all contractual terms in the change orders and writes and agrees meeting minutes with the Employers Contract Administrator. The Contract Manager liaises with the contractors legal department and informs them of any potential contract problems. All other work as required by the Contractor. The work involves 1 day per week in the Contractors office in Al-Khobar which is situated some 40 mins by car from Bahrain and 5 days per week on site approximately 200 Km away. The period on site may change as dictated by the contractor..

The Client is considering implementing an experienced project manager and facilitator on site for a contract duration of possibly 5 or 6 months. The successful candidate must be fully up to speed with new build and NHBC. The role will be site manage, overview and basically support the remainder of the build in basically all second fix. Working from a site office or similar full time M-F ,they will be expected to book contractors in and out, take ownership of on site Health &amp; Safety and security. Manage and primarily act as Foreman and Liason Officer for 2nd fix trades, plumbers, electricians, carpenter, floor fitters, painters etc. and ensure that the top quality finish is being maintained. To reiterate this is a top quality finish and not a typical self build. This is no job for a novice and the Client would expect a senior person with prestigious site and house build experience as this is a &pound;2M build.
