Technical Support Engineer working within their Technical Department, reporting to the Process Technology Team Leader.

The successful candidate will be required to work 5 days on, 3days off, Monday to Sunday on a rotating day shift pattern. As Technical Support Engineer, the role will consist of up to 50% process engineering tasks with the balance of the workload being made up of routine tasks. You will be responsible for monitoring plants to ensure they are running at optimal conditions and assisting with the resolution of plant problems. You will also conduct investigations into final product quality issues and implement corrective actions. Within this role, you will review run conditions, manage the effluent pit, prepare monthly figures and collect environmental samples. Process engineering project work and Process Operator training to improve plant reliability and technical knowledge are vital parts of the role.

Applicants must have a Degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or related subject and be able to perform relevant calculations involved in process engineering projects. In addition, the candidate will preferably have a background in the chemical industry, ideally in a 24/7 operation.
