			<description><![CDATA[ organisation offering pharmaceutical solutions worldwide now have a vacancy for an Instrumentation &amp; Controls Technician. The role will involve maintenance, calibration, repair, and continual development of all instrumentation and control equipment and plant services within the mechanical and electrical scope of the Site Engineering Department. Strict adherence to all relevant regulations, guidelines and practices is essential. Work involves all pharmaceutical utilities such as WFI, Pure steam, demineralised water, refrigeration, compressed air, HEPA filtration / HVAC. KEY DUTIES:  Provide on-line faultfinding, breakdown and repair service to all instrumentation and control equipment across the site.  Arrange for any instrumentation and/or control equipment to be serviced and/or calibrated by external contractors.  Produce maintenance / calibration plans and standard operating procedures for cost effective operation, calibration and maintenance of all instrumentation and control systems across the site.  Follow planned maintenance / calibration, and standard operating procedures for all instrumentation and control equipment.  Source and order necessary spares and maintain adequate stocks to keep all plant running.  To install, modify and commission new equipment.  Maintain and use GMP documentation for all aspects of the job as expected within a pharmaceutical environment.  Continually develop and improve process control and monitoring instrumentation performance, and working practices across the site.  Calibration of all plant associated Instrumentation and control systems to standard operating procedures.  Attend any courses as required by regulation or personal development needs and maintain own training record as required in Pharma industry. REQUIREMENTS: Must have Technical Degree or HNC. Excellent problem solving skills on all instrumentation and control systems Ability to perform maintenance and calibration activities on all measured and controlled attributes Able to repair and maintain instrumentation and control systems on WFI, Pure steam, demineralised water, refrigeration, compressed air, HEPA filtration / HVAC. Ability to generate procedures and accurate reports. Ability to manage a number of activities to completion. Ability to follow procedures and work instructions accurately Experience of engineering in a pharmaceutical environment. Working knowledge of GMP. Knowledge of QA systems desirable but not essential.
