The Head of Transport Modelling is required to lead the expanding Transport Modelling Business Stream. The business stream is involved in a wide range of challenging and state of the art projects including LTS, Cross River Tram, Victoria Station Upgrade and Chatham Town Centre. Our range includes SATURN, VISUM, VISSIM, PARAMICS, CAST, Microsimulation, Pedestrian Modelling, Rail Planning, Airport Modelling, Research and Local Junction Models.

·The role will be required to act as project director for highway, public transport and multi-modal modelling projects for local authorities, high profile clients, the private sector and as necessary provide modelling inputs to multi-modal studies.
·The role will include projects where the Head of Modelling will be responsible for the design, resourcing and implementation of transport models based on standard modelling packages, and where appropriate, bespoke solutions. Also, the application and interpretation of transport models for major schemes, plus the quantitative support for option development and all aspects of project evaluation. The range of projects is expected to be wide, from local junction assessments using microsimulation to large scale, regional policy support tools. In all cases extensive client and local planning liaison is required, and where appropriate the preparation and support of Public Inquiry evidence.

client has a requirement for an experienced Operational Analyst. They are a small but growing company and provides technical consultancy services to UK Government, and the Ministry of Defence (MOD) in particular. The Company is based in Hampshire, and most business is conducted at either their own offices or on customer site locally. Successful operation analysts should have: 1. A minimum of a good first degree in a numerate discipline (Maths, Physics, Engineering, Operational Research etc) or equivalent qualification(s). 2. Ideally 2-5 years of industrial experience using analytical skills. Candidates with a PhD and less industrial experience may be considered. 3. Experience of programming (e. g. VBA), mathematical modelling and/or systems analysis. 4. Good verbal and written communication skills. 5. No objection to working on defence projects. 6. No objection to placement on customer site. 7. British Nationality, in order to obtain security clearance to work on UK defence contracts. The Company has a strong preference for: 1.
