This has historically focused in the Rail Telecommunication arena, Software and System Integration of Real Time Control Systems, and increasingly leading Turnkey projects across a range of engineering disciplines Key tasks: To assist in the creation of proposals and tenders, with the ability to turn what is often quite technical information into a clear, persuasive and easy to understand document, to be confident and capable of producing text to a high standard, which accurately describes my clients offer and reflects the quality of their business. Developing and maintaining resources and professional and consistent collateral for best practice proposals. Develop their creative approach and provide direction and guidance on the improvement of the process, approach and style in order to increase our bid win rate. Maintaining consistency of message, factual content and company message and values. Identify pre-written content that may be available to start to develop the proposal. Manage the translation of the customer specification into effective and winning engineering solutions that will meet the functional requirements and price aspirations whilst delivering profitable business for my client. Attend and present at customer interviews as required. Experience required: Should have experience working in a business environment and understand the motivation behind commercial buying decisions. Able to work effectively on multiple, concurrent projects. PC/Software Skills Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, DTP Other: The role requires effective communication with the ability to articulate ideas in a clear and persuasive manner. It requires initiative to think and act ahead and take a proactive approach and the ability to multi-task and juggle demands of complex projects and proactively manage communication across the team. The right person will be highly organised quick and efficient, deliver to agreed timescales with an eye for detail. The successful applicant will be required to work under pressure and to tight timescales sometimes involving unsocial hours. Strong team skills are required to interact across the solutions teams particularly as remote and matrix organisations will be the norm.
