Duties: Review / preparation of draft clinical study protocols Review / preparation of draft Investigator Brochures Review of draft Case Report Forms for clinical studies Review / preparation of draft patient/subject informed consent forms for clinical studies Review / preparation of Standard Operating Procedures Identification of clinical investigators Handling of telephone and other enquiries from study site staff and clients during a study, as appropriate Management of the reporting of adverse events Telephone receptionist duties General word processing and administrative support as required Organisation of incoming/outgoing post and courier shipments Filing and photocopying Business development and marketing duties Assistance with the maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures Ideally a Life Science's degree is required for this role including experience of the monitoring of trials within a pharmaceutical or healthcare product development environment. In return our client offer a competitive salary and benefits package in a great location on the outskirts of Ely, close to the station. Benefits - 23 days holiday plus public holidays. Office hours are 8. 30-5pm with 1 hour for lunch. After 3 months, we offer a 5% contributory pension scheme. After 3 months we also offer Private Health Insurance (taxable benefit). A mobile phone and company credit card are offered for staff who travel. For certain posts we offer a car allowance. Dependent on the profitability of the company, we pay a bonus in November. Working Hours - 8. 30am - 17. 00pm (1 hour for lunch).

			<description><![CDATA[ volunteers made by telephone, email or post  To assist with recruiting the required number of volunteers for every study, in accordance with ICH GCP, study protocols and unit SOPs Key Accountabilities Prepare recruitment documentation for designated studies including pre-screening questionnaire, screening appointment confirmation document and study dates document  Liaise with Project Management team to follow developments for designated studies  Attend pre-initiation and initiation meetings to represent recruitment staff for designated studies  Book sufficient appointments for screening in order to recruit the required number of volunteers for every study, according to the protocol  Deal with volunteer enquiries received into the unit  Log/register all incoming enquiries from new volunteers onto ClinBase  Ensure that the Study Recruitment Manager is alerted if the volume of new enquiries drops so that additional advertising can be facilitated  Provide information to volunteers about specific trials and the Unit  Select volunteers from the database for consideration of studies  Send SMS messages alerting volunteers of new studies  Maintain a secure database of highly confidential information to ensure the rights and privacy of trial subjects are protected  Produce and despatch mail shots if required by post or e-mail  Contribute pro-actively towards volunteer recruitment activities  Ensure compliance with Data Protection Act (1998), GCP/ICH at all times  Perform general office tasks including filing, faxing and photocopying  Produce statistics and reports for the Recruitment department when necessary Skills  Self-motivated, flexible and adaptable  Excellent telephone manner  Ability to handle confidential information with discretion  Meticulous attention to detail  Patient and tolerant and able to cope under pressure  Data entry skills  Excellent interpersonal skills Education  Maths and English O Level/GCSE Language Skills  Good standard of written and spoken English Minimum Work Experience  1 year office administration/database administration/telesales experience or similar Advantageous Experience  Previous experience of databases and/or an exposure to market research  Exposure to clinical research - especially to Phase 1 studies.

This includes handling telephone calls, booking appointments, managing client schedules, meeting and greeting new clients and regular clients in a open and friendly manner, setting the mood of the reception area, assisting in new patient preparation, patient education, scheduling education talks and opening and closing the building. The Person:The ideal person would desirablehave the following; A level or more education.  Graduates with appropriate qualifications desirable.  Knowledge and experience with psychology or NLP and philosophy.  Excellent communication skills  Accounts management, payroll and book keeping skills.
