Assist maintained mainstream and special schools and pupil referral units to improve the learning conditions for children . Provide consultation to SENCOs and relevant managers. Deliver training on specific areas (in collaboration with other disciplines as appropriate)4. To provide ongoing advice to Childrens Service management on LEA policy development. 5. To support the statutory responsibilities of SCS in relation to Special Educational Needs. To provide statutory psychological advice within specified time periods. To participate in annual reviews according to criteria of complexity. To plan, in collaboration with SEN Administration, the LEA response to SEN Tribunals and to represent the LEA in such Tribunals. To monitor, evaluate and review identified independent and out of county education placements. To participate in annual SEN Audit processes. To attend area and county wide SEN Panels 6. To provide a service to children in their early years. To act as point of notification for early years children with likely SEN. To advise and support parents/carers on the basis of observation and assessment. To respond within timescales specified by the Childrens Service To maintain records as required by the Childrens Service or Educational Psychology. To contribute to multi-agency assessment processes agreed with Health partners. To provided consultation to Early Years providers as required by contract with EYCCS. 7. To support the development and professional distinctiveness of Educational Psychology in the area and across Surrey. To attend and contribute to Surrey wide EP meetings. To contribute to local EP team meetings. To participate in locally based peer supervision arrangements. To monitor, as part of the team, professional development and resource needs. 8. (For EPs with 2 years experience) To contribute to Surrey wide developments where Educational Psychology has a significant role.
