			<description><![CDATA[ responsible for the day to day management of Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT services ensuring that a high quality, cost effective service is delivered to patients and Consultant Users. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;This hospital provides a wide range of high quality services to patients in a friendly and supportive environment. Situated in the heart of London, it is accessible to public transport, shopping and eating out. &lt;br /&gt; &lt;br /&gt;Responsibilities:&lt;br /&gt;?To be responsible for the day to day management of Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT services ensuring that a high quality, cost effective service is delivered to patients and Consultant Users. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?To liaise with the Radiologists and Nuclear Physicians. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?Day to day management of all Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT staff to provide an effective, patient focused service. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?Support the training and development of radiology staff and ensure that all &lt;br /&gt;staff working in the unit keep abreast of developments in Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT technology and applications. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?Checking all scans before sending to the consultants for reports. To accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high &lt;br /&gt;quality images for reporting. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?To develop and maintain staff rotas to ensure staff coverage on the respective scanner with other staff participating in the general departmental on call. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?Liaise with the Medical Physics department to ensure that correct procedures are followed concerning the handling of radioactive waste and accidental spills. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?To maintain accurate records of isotope deliveries and waste disposal of same on a weekly basis. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?To be responsible for producing and revising departmental protocols in relation to Nuclear Medicine and ensuring that they are followed. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;?To be fully conversant with the Radiology Management System, PACS and the computerised method of patient and examination documentation. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Requirements: &lt;br /&gt;?State registration with The Health Professional Council (HPC) and Society of Radiographers &lt;br /&gt;?B. Sc. Hons in Diagnostic Radiography or &lt;br /&gt;?Diploma of Radionuclide Imaging. &lt;br /&gt;?Postgraduate studies in Radionuclide Imaging&lt;br /&gt;?Voulntary register of clinical technologist (IPEM). &lt;br /&gt;?Evidence of substantial experience in Nuclear Medicine/PET-CT &lt;br /&gt;?Previous experience of working in complex nuclear medicine environment. &lt;br /&gt;?Ideally have 2 years experience working within Nuclear Medicine..
