Skill in commissioning DWDM equipment is important. Experience level may be 1-2 years. Please see below:
? Working knowledge of fiber optics and digital communications technology
? Experience with the installation and turn-up of telecommunications systems
? Experience with a Graphical User Interface (GUI), such as a Web browser
? Knowledge of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) and Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM)
? Knowledge of Synchronous Optical Network (SONET) / Synchronous Digital Hierarchy (SDH)
? Knowledge of Gigabit Ethernet (GbE), Fiber Connection (FICON), Enterprise System Connection (ESCON), and Fibre Channel
? Knowledge of OTN infrastructure, including OTU1 and OTU2 interfaces

1. Where is this requirement based? all across BT sites in UK.
