The Candidate We are looking for 1 person to augment our technical and user support team. The candidate will be interested in a career as an IT professional, in either a Technical or Training role, and will already have a good knowledge of PCs and Windows Platforms. The starting salary will depend upon the skills that the candidate brings with them. Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Server Platforms would be an advantage, though not essential. Experience of IT Support in a commercial environment would be an advantage. Training will be given on all aspects of the services we provide, including PC support, network support and a wide range of software and other computer peripherals. Duties and responsibilitiesHours are 9:00 to 5:30, Monday to Friday. Some evening or weekend work may be required from time to time. Answer help desk support calls and deal efficiently with all user and technical support issuesHelp to ensure the smooth running of help deskGo out on site to install software and hardware as requiredProvide basic training on use of hardware and softwareSpecification and ordering of hardware and software as required and helping to provide quotations for clients.
