The Senior Contracts Officer will also: Manage and be responsible for commercial and contractual aspects of bids and contracts. Ensuring the timely and accurate submission of bids and proposals. Control all contract terms and conditions with customers and their flow down to the Major Subcontracts department. Lead and/or support the negotiation of new contracts as well as other business activities, including contractual arrangements with other companies (teaming/partnership etc. ). Establish and maintain good business relationships. Applicants should have contracts management experience, including bids / proposals in a commercial environment. A knowledge of UK MoD contract terms advantageous. Export contracting advantageous but not essential. Good negotiation skills and experience. A full understanding of commercial risks and liabilities. Experience of drafting proposals, contract terms and agreements, and administration of contracts or sub contracts. Well qualified to Degree level, ideally in a Business related subject, candidates should also have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence decisions at a senior level. Able to handle complex negotiations with customers. A team player. Accurate and dependable under pressure, prepared to take the initiative and to make decisions. Ability to organise and multi-task in a demanding and evolving environment.
